Rest, Reflection & One Last Summer Invitation 🌿


Hi Reader,

I just returned from a beautiful, soul-soothing stay at a quiet B&B near Shenandoah National Park and I’m still floating from the experience.

It was one of those rare weeks where rest was the plan, not the afterthought.
Sun-drenched mornings reading Women Who Run With the Wolves (finally!).
Slow swims, early yoga in a field overlooking majestic stallions.
A long 8-mile hike through the park followed by a walk through Skyline Caverns—cool, deep, and quiet. Just six of us, moving in silence past ancient waters and colorful light.

The stillness reminded me: peace is always right here. Even in the depths.

Back at the inn, everything was intentional. Five-course meals made with love, served like artwork—colorful, soft, nourishing. I got to peek into the kitchen (you know how much I love kitchens), and what I found was presence. The same quiet clarity I feel in meditation or on my mat.

Preparing food was the practice.

And connection—the kind that feels like family after five minutes.

Done with care, clarity, and a devotion to those you serve.

And that’s what I’m carrying into this new week:
The reminder that being human can be soulful.

That rest is connection.
And when we slow down, we meet ourselves—and each other—fully.
