A Quiet Hot Take From Me

Hi Reader,

I love an unpopular opinion especially when it goes against the norms of your own industry.

So here’s one of mine.

You’ve probably heard people say that support, rest, or care has to be something you “figure out on your own.”

Here’s my hot take:

I don’t think that’s true.

I don’t think we’re meant to stumble into support by accident.
And I don’t think it should feel like luck when we finally find someone who helps us slow down, breathe, and feel steady again.

What does matter is clarity.

Because there’s a big difference between hoping someone finds the support they need…and recognizing the moment when they need it.

Most women don’t say, “I need nervous system care.”
They say things like this instead.

The Moments You Might Hear

When someone says…

  • “I’m exhausted, but I don’t know how to stop.”
  • “I feel like I’m holding everything together.”
  • “I can’t shut my mind off at night.”
  • “I don’t even know what I need anymore.”
  • “I keep pushing, even though my body is clearly asking me to slow down.”
  • “I just want someone to help me rest without making it another project.”

Those are not complaints.

Those are cues.

They’re moments when a woman is quietly asking for support often without realizing it.

This is the kind of language I listen to every day.

And it’s why I do the work I do.

I help women find their way back to steadiness, ease, and rest not by fixing them, but by giving them space, support, and practices that fit into real life.

So if you ever hear a friend say something like this, just know:

They’re not broken.
They’re not behind.
They’re simply ready for support.

And sometimes, naming that possibility is the most generous thing we can do for each other.

With warmth,

This is your Still Point.A space where nothing is fully blooming yet, but everything is gently awakening beneath the surface. If your energy feels different,...

This Week Off the Mat Let’s clear something up. Yoga was never about touching your toes. It was never about the “full expression.” And it was never about getting it right. Somewhere along the way, it turned into performance. Women come to me thinking… They’re not flexible enough… They’re behind… They’re doing it wrong… The yoga industry has been selling you performance. Perfect lines.Full expressions.Flexibility as proof of worth. And quietly, women internalized it. “If I can’t do the full...
